Hello, Eye Readers!

We are in the last quarter of 2024 – where has the time gone? In April I was reminding myself of the fact that it was still 8 months to go until Christmas, and here we are – just two months away. Time is one of those things that we cannot get back, so we need to use our time carefully and wisely and in the best possible way we can – without regret as “time and tide wait for no man”

So what plans have you made for the festive season and do they include a trip up-country or to one of Uganda’s national parks? There is certainly an abundance of accommodation to suit all pockets and for those thrill seekers out there, there are some really awesome outdoor activities to participate in. If you are lying low and just chilling with friends and family, then a visit to some of the cities restaurants is a must – and there are many out there to satisfy the biggest of cravings. Whatever you choose to do this season, travel well, travel safely and enjoy Uganda

I was born in France, and have been in love with Africa since my childhood. I decided 9 years ago to cross the continent by bike from Morocco to South Africa. On this occasion I fell in love with Uganda where I have lived for 7 years. I was able to develop my passion for photography due to the beauty of the fauna and flora of this country, without forgetting the very varied landscapes and the kindness of the Ugandans. African Queen

African Queen (also known as SS Murchison) was the name of two boats used in the 1951 movie The African Queen starring Humphrey Bogart and
Katharine Hepburn. It was filmed in the Belgian Congo on a tributary of the Congo River, and on the Nile in the Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda.
Two boats were used, one in each location. One of the boats is now located in Key Largo, Florida, and on February 18, 1992, was added to the U.S.
National Register of Historic Places. The other is located in Entebbe, Uganda. – Source: Wikipedia
