Welcome to a new issue and a new year! I started this year off with big goals and big plans in mind and I am going to try to achieve as many of them as I can. One of my big plans is to visit as many safari lodges as I can — at least the ones I haven’t been fortunate to visit in Uganda… and I plan to start with the ones mentioned in this issue of the magazine.

I visited the Rwenzoris in 2017 and that trip changed the course of my life. Within 2 years I moved to Uganda with my family, as I was very impressed with all the things adventure you can do here. Since then I have travelled to most (mountainous) corners of the country, either professionally as a hiking guide, travel writer and trainer, or climbing mountains and mountain biking purely for pleasure. There’s still a lot to explore so I’ll stick around for a while!
